Terry V. Heard, age 64, of Smithboro, IL passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Greenville Regional Hospital. There will be a Celebration Of His Life on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2 PM at The Columbus Baptist Church. Terry was born on May 31, 1951 in Bainbridge, GA to Edward E. and Lillian (Cloud) Heard. He married Gay Guthrie on November 27, 1970 in Mulberry Grove, IL. He is survived by his wife Gay Heard, his children Kelli (Rick) Mills, of St. Elmo, IL, Heath (Lisa) Heard of Vandalia, IL, Aimee (E.J) Heard of Taylorsville, GA, Emily (Kenny) Heard of Schram City, IL, Tiffany (Craig) Jay of Beecher City, IL., and Chandler Hans at home. He is also survived by two brothers Eddie (Donna) Heard of Mulberry Grove, IL and Charles Earl (Elaine) Heard of Georgia, one sister Martha (Fred) Morrison of Crystal River, FL, along with twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sisters Linda Peterman. Terry was born in Georgia and moved with his family to St. Louis when he was six. The family moved to Smithboro when he was 13. He graduated from Mulberry Grove High School in 1970 and then went to work for Coca-Cola. He went to work at CIPS in Coffeen in 1973 and worked there until he retired for health reasons. He was a member of The Operating Engineers. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family

We're so sorry for your loss. Death is truly an enemy but the Bible gives us hope at Acts 24:15 we read Paul's word ," And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." so very sorry for your lost. Words cannot express the unwanted void death brings when we lose a family member or close friend. I fine great comfort from the scriptures, because it tells us that death was not part of God's original purpose. Our loving father Jehovah God has also taken steps to bring back to reality his original purpose and he has guaranteed it by sending his son Jesus to die for all of us. Our King Jesus Christ by means of his precious blood has provided a ransom that releases us so that we can have a relationship with God with the prospect of everlasting life.
