Obituary for Shelby J. Belcher

Shelby Jean Belcher passed away at University Health Care Center in , IL. She was born in Delta, Missouri to Albert and Ruth (Roe) Crites. She married Wayne Allen Belcher onJune 24, 1961 in St. Louis, MO. He died April 5, 2013. She is survived by her daughters Debra (Tim) Handrahan, Linda Hamel, her son Mark (Angel) Belcher, her brothers Earl (Rosemary) Crites, Joe (Joy) Crites, and Richard (Gloria) Crites, and a sister Verna Mae (Paul) Ringwald. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Randy Johnson, Colton Hamel, Brandon Hamel, Susan (Handrahan) Bryant, Laura Handrahan, Gabriel Belcher, and Abigail Belcher. She grew up in southern Missouri and graduated from Lutesville, Missouri High School in 1955. After high school she moved to St. Louis and then to rural Greenville after her marriage. She and her husband farmed south of Greenville. She was a member of The Bond County Home Extension and the The Tamalco First Christian Church. She had also served as a 4H Leader. Memorial contributions are suggested to The Tamalco Christian Church or The Bond County Home Extension.
