Sandra Lee Hawkins

Sandra Lee Hawkins, age 79, of Mulberry Grove, IL passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Greenville Nursing and Rehab Center. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, March 13, 2021 at The Greenville First Christian Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
Sandra was born March 7, 1941 in Metropolis, IL to Otis and Blanche (Green) Waters. She married Gene Hawkins on December 26, 1958 in Mulberry Grove, IL. He died April 14, 2013. She is survived by her children Steve (Sherry) Hawkins of Vandalia, IL and Nicole (Randy) Knox of Greenville, IL. She is also survived by her siblings Jeannette (Forrest) Brown of Mulberry Grove, IL, Alan (Janet) Waters of Mulberry Grove, and Brenda (Jim) Tedrick of Mulberry Grove, IL along with six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister Donna Grimm, and two brothers Ronnie Waters and Gary Waters.
She was a stay at home mother and cared for many children in the neighborhood in Mulberry Grove. She was actively involved in Home Extension and was a member of The United Methodist Church in Mulberry Grove.
