Sally Jo Martino

sally martino

Sarah (Sally) Jo Martino passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020 in Galveston, Texas.
Sarah (Sally) Jo Martino named after her grandmothers, Sarah (Sally) and JoAnn.

She was the beloved daughter of Sarah Ganaway of Greenville, Illinois and Mark Martino of Houston, Texas. Sally was born November 8, 1985 in Houston, Texas. She attended Greenville Elementary School and later moved to Houston. Sally was proud to work at Tom Lange Company, Inc. for 10 years.

Sally was the proud parent of several fur babies, Mr. Fred, Fat Cat and Mini. And she was a proud Aunt to her mother's cat and cousins fur babies. She often checked on them and sent pictures back and forth.

Sally loved to crochet, and every new baby received a blanket crocheted with love in every stitch. She loved being with family and visiting, baking, fishing, shopping, or pampering at the local spa. She loved getting her nails done with fancy designs and holiday themes. Sally was never seen without a smile on her face and love in her heart. Her heart was bigger than the state of Texas. She definitely made the world a better place with her hugs that always had that extra squeeze at the end. She made many memories traveling to Illinois each year to visit with family and friends. She loved the Bond County Fair demolition derby and ribbon fries. She also couldn't wait to get back to Greenville to get a Diet Ski. She was also always sure to keep in contact with old friends and family with her handwritten letters. Even with technology, there was nothing better you could give Sally than a handwritten letter sent through "snail mail" as she would say.

She is survived by parents, paternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Sally is now in heaven with her grandma and grandpa Amil and Sally Ganaway, Aunt Monica Langston, and cousin Angela.

  1. Sally I loved you from the day you were born, and I will love you until the day I die. I have such a huge hole in my heart. You showed me love everyday and took care of my health. You put everyone in front of yourself, never complaining. You were old school soul and everyone one you touched became important to you. I will mourn you till the die but I will also honor the strength I instilled in you. To march on in your honor. Your forever my baby and your daddy loves you. I know if you have it your way you will tell my guardian angel to step aside so that you can take care of me. I truthfully hope I see you sooner than later. I love you Daddy
