Roxanne Susan Miller, age 84, of rural Mulberry Grove, IL passed away at her home Friday, August 7, 2020. Funeral services will be private. Memorial contributions are suggested to Bond County Home Health and Hospice in Greenville, IL.

Roxanne was born February 5, 1936 in Cortland, New York to Harold L. and Doris J. (Northrup) Haight. She married James Edward Miller on January 21, 1955 in Columbus, Ohio. He died July 29, 2017. She is survived by her children; Cheryl (Kevin) Wilson of Richardson, TX, Darcy (Howard) Saxion of Eugene, OR, and Michael (Liz) Miller of Mulberry Grove, IL. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother Richard Haight.

Roxy, as she was known to her close friends and family, was born in Cortland, NY and lived there while she was a young girl. She and her family moved to Buffalo, NY then on to Bexley, OH where she attended Bexley High School. Her best high school memory was dancing in the Senior Musical, and designing choreography. Her favorite activity was Choir.

She met Jim Miller while she was in high school and continued to date him after she started at Ohio State University. After they were married, they stayed in Columbus until their first daughter was born, then moved to CA while he was in the Air Force before settling in Tulsa, OK. Her 2nd daughter and son were born in Tulsa.

She was very busy with her family and worked outside the home. She held various secretarial positions, did some computer programming, earned a BA from Oklahoma City University majoring in Religion, and eventually became Director of Evangelism in Tulsa. She and Jim relocated to Palm Desert, CA where she continued working as Director of Evangelism. She then started her own business repairing clients' computers and helping them learn various apps and bookkeeping skills.

In 2007 she and Jim moved into the home of their son and his family in Mulberry Grove, IL, living in the attached apartment to the main house. She was very active in the home and in her grandson's and granddaughter's lives and fully embraced living the country lifestyle. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
