Rosemarie Borror

rosemarie borror

Rosemarie (Taylor) Borror, age 86, died Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Jennersville Regional Hospital in West Grove, PA while visiting family in Pennsylvania. She was the devoted wife of Ward Borror, who passed away in 1994, and with whom she shared 45 years of marriage. A lifelong resident of Greenville, Rosie was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Helen (Justi) Taylor, and graduated from Greenville High School in 1946. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church all her life and was its organist when she was in her early twenties. After Rosie and Ward married in 1949, she continued to work at the telephone company for a few years. She often shared fun stories of her friends there. She stayed home to raise their three children, Bruce, Barb, and Sandra, then worked at the Greenville High School as secretary from about 1974 to 1993. She is fondly remembered for her warm smile and always being ready and willing to help students and teachers alike. An avid reader, she also served on the Greenville Public Library Board in the 1990's. Rosie enjoyed playing bridge with friends and, along with Ward, enjoyed the close friendships of their "couple's bridge club" that had continued going to dinner together monthly since the early 1960's. Rosie and Ward enjoyed going out dancing regularly, and she has dearly missed the love of her life since he has been gone. Surely, they are dancing together again now. Rosie is survived by three children: Bruce Borror of Collinsville, IL, Barbara Smith (and husband Bruce) of Greenville, IL, and Sandra Borror (and husband David Baldt) of Kennett Square, PA. Her five grandchildren are Carrie Smith, Bradley Smith, Whitney Utlaut, Jacob Jury, and Alison Jury. Rosie is predeceased by her only brother, Norman Taylor, and husband, Ward Borror. Visitation will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Wednesday, July 1 at 1:00 pm, immediately followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the First United Methodist Church is suggested.

  3. Borror Family, I was sorry to just find out that Rosie had passed. Rosie & Ward; Jackie & I spent many good timed together. We played bridge, ate out often, they went with Jackie & I to the St Louis Hospital when I got my hand caught in a machine and went to Hawaii together. Many good memories. As you know I lost My Jackie on May 29. My thought and prayers are with you. Don

  4. Please accept my sympathy on the death of Rosie. I knew her from my time working at the Greenville Public Library. She was a cheerful board member and I appreciated her dedication. The service on Wednesday was lovely. The flute solo was beautiful.

  5. Barbara, Bruce and Sandra – You know how much I loved your Mom as well as your Dad. We all shared so many good times together. I was so very sorry to hear about Rosie and I want you to know that I am sending love, thoughts and prayers to each of you and your families.

  6. "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." at Acts 24:15 the Apostle Paul said and wrote these words for our comfort. May they prove to be so for you and your family. While I may not know you personally I have experienced the lost of death. Your neighbor and friend Maddy Hernandez
