Richard E. "Dick" Powell

Dick Powell passed away at his home om June 4, 2013 at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife Wanda (Morgan) Powell who he married on Maryc 25, 1951 in Greenville, IL., his sons Rick Powell and Bruce Powell, his daughter Sandra ((Michael) Jones, his brothers Jean (Nancy) Powell and Donald (Joan) Powell, two grandchildren Tiffany (Curtis) Bellegante and Emily Morgan Jones, and two great grandchildren Chase and Mia Bellegante. He moved to Greenville with his family at the age of 8 and lived here all if his life except for 12 years of living in Edwardsville. He was employed at Southwestern Electric Coop from 1948 to 1993 in both Greenville and Edwardsville. He was a member of The Old National Trail Campers, The Sportsman's Club, and the First Christian Church where he served as an elder and also chairman of the board. He coached Khory League and Girl's Softball. He help implement the annual Southwestern Electric Retirees Dinner. Memorial contributions are suggested to The Greenville First Christian Church.
