Reid A. Bingham passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at his home. Reid is survived by his daughter Tammy (Phillip) Wendling of Effingham, IL., his son Jeff (Kathy) Bingham of Greenville, his step-son Dave Wernle of Keyesport, IL, his step-daughter Wanda Heckman of Greenville, IL., his brother Clayton Bingham of Greenville, IL., four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and ten step-grandchildren. Reid was a lifetime farmer in the Bond County area and owned The Belfry in Greenville for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed bowling in his earlier years and excelled in pitching horseshoes later in life. He was a faithful member of The Greenville First Christian Church. He was also a contributing founder of Hillview Manor Nursing Home, currently known as Helia Healthcare, in Greenville.
