Maxine E. Barth

Maxine was born in Vandalia, Il to Lester H. and Martha E. (Sapp) Ennen. She is survived by her husband James A. Barth, her daughter Susan (Kevin) Dewaele, her granddaughter Chelsea Deiters, her sisters Leona Daum, Linda (James) Malan, and Beverly (Lewis) Kinkead, and her brother Jimmy Ennen. she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Barbara Ann Barth, and a brother Jerry Ennen. She grew up in Tamalco Twp and attended school in Smithboro and Mulberry Grove. She graduated from Mulberry Grove High School in 1966. She attended Kaskaskia Junior College for her LPN and RN undergrad degrees. Then McKendree College for her Bachelors in RN. She also attended SIU-E where she received her Masters Degree in nursing. She had worked for Fayette County Hospital and Dr. Penny Gozia. She started working at the Bond County Health Department in 1988 as a home health nurse and then Director of Nursing. She served as administrator for the Health Department for 20 years, retiring in July of 2013. She also worked to establish the Clinton County Heatlh Department. She was a member of the Greenville First Christian Church and served on the German Cemetery Board. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to German Cemetery, Payne Cemetery, or The American Heart Association.

I am so sorry for your loss! Thankfully she went suddenly and hopefully without pain. I haven�½t seen Maxine since we graduated in 1966 but will never forget her beautiful smile and kind heart.
