Mary Ella Royer, age 92, of Greenville passed away, Monday, June 15, 2015 at Faith Country Home in Highland, IL. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 10 AM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Greenville. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 5-7 PM at St. Lawrence Church Mary was born January 15, 1923 in Highland, IL to William Frederick and Ella (Troutner) Huber. She married Melvin Clair Royer in June 20, 1946 in Highland, IL. He died August 2, 1993. She is survived by her son Steven Royer and his wife Kathy of Murfreesboro, TN. She is also survived by a sister Alice Abendroth and two grandchildren Michael and Michele Royer. She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister Berniece Frederick She grew up in Highland and moved to Greenville after her marriage. She worked in the Greenville High School office for many years. She was a member of The Greenville Country Club and St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Donations are suggested to St. Lawrence Church.

Steve, I'm thinking of you during this difficult time. Your mom was so kind to Dave and me. She always had a smile and wanted to talk. I'm sorry I can't get the visitation or funeral, but please know that I am thinking of you.
Mary was a very giving person. Her devotion to her church, community and family was outstanding. Your mom always had a smile and a kind word. She will be missed. Steven and Kathy prayers are with you at this difficult time.
I have such wonderful memories of Mary. She was always so sweet and friendly to many. While a member of St Lawrence church she have so much of her time to help in many ways. She will be missed by me and so many others.
"And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." at Acts 24:15 the Apostle Paul said and wrote these words for our comfort.
