Linda A. Foss, age 81, of Greenville, IL passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at her home. A memorial service will be held 11 am, Monday, February 19, 2018 at Young Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 9 to 11 am. Interment at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Bond County Hospice and/or The First Presbyterian Church.
Linda was born September 8, 1936 in Terre Haute, IN to Arnold ‘Walt' Fountain and Carolyn Imogene (Yates) Fountain. She married Gerald Clare Foss in Greenville, IL on June 26, 1964.
She is survived by her husband Jerry of Greenville; a son, Scott William (Robyn) Foss and her grandchildren, Emily and Ben Foss of St. Charles, MO; and a cousin, David Willet of Litchfield, IL.
Linda attended Greenville schools and graduated from Greenville High School. After college, she taught for 13 years at the Jr. and Sr. levels with the Greenville school system. She was a Daughter of the Eastern Star; a member of the First Presbyterian Church, serving as a deacon; was an avid gardener, and enjoyed playing and spending time with her two grandchildren, Emily and Ben Foss.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Carol Bloemker.
