Kenneth "KT" Summers, age 70, of Greenville passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 11 AM at The Greenville First Christian Church. Interment will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 4-7 PM at The Greenville First Christian Church. Kenneth Summers, the son of Clarence T. Summers and Beulah M. Summers, was born on October 15, 1944 at home in Mulberry Grove, Illinois. He graduated from Mulberry Grove High School in 1963. He worked for Ed Bauer Fur Company and later joined ABF Freight until his retirement in 2011. Kenneth and Brenda Leidner were united in marriage on September 14, 1968 at the Greenville Central Christian Church and they have enjoyed over 46 years together. Brenda survives as do their four daughters; Cindy (Mike) Donaghy of Houston, Texas, Lisa Qualls of Greenville, IL, Christina (Kelly) White of Sorento, IL, and Abby (Adam) White of Greenville, IL. Eleven grandchildren Kc Fletcher, Kenneth Donaghy, Kammie McBride, Kolby Qualls, TJ Qualls, Taylor White, Kelsey White, Carley White, Kristopher White, Addison White, and Alyssa White. Four great-grandchildren, Owen Martin, Olivia Qualls, Eva McBride, and Benn Fletcher. He is survived by five brothers: Marlin Summers, Brownstown, IL; Jimmy, Bobby, Brian and Tony Summers, all of Vandalia, IL; and 6 sisters: Sandra Springer, Jena, La.; Kathy Wollin, Ramsey, IL; Connie Hoover, Broken Arrow, OK.; Patty Jackson, Vandalia, IL; Lannie Stewart, Tolono, IL; and Dawn Goodin, Haslet, TX. Proceeded by parents, one brother and two sisters. Memorials are suggested to Greenville First Christian Church.
