Guestbook

  1. I am so sorry to hear this! I first met Julie in 1990 when we worked together at the State of Illinois. I was always amazed that even with her disability Julie loved working and being with people. Though many times life tried to knock her down she always got back up and kept going. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Cass Dockery

  2. I only knew Julie for 2 years back in the 80's. I was a "Big Sister" to Jaeann for two years. Every time I went to the house, I would always take time to visit with Julie. She was such a delightful person and always had a smile on her face. I live in Jacksonville and saw the notice in the Springfield paper. My prayers are lifted for the family. So thankful Jaeann got married. She was quite the charmer when she was little. Treasure the memories of this lovely lady. They will bring you comfort. May Jesus bring you peace. Jan Schumm

  3. To Julie's Family~ When Julie and I worked together in the Bur of Long Term Care, IDPA, she was a very pleasant, helpful co-worker. She readily flashed a lovely smile and was a joy to work with. May God be with you all. Marlene Robinson, Springfield

  4. I grew up with Julie and her brother Jim. We all went to Immanuel Lutheran School and rode together for what seems to have been years. She was a treasured member of the "Kopatz" family at Immanuel. I can't ever recall anyone having anything bad to say about Julie. She was always so pleasant and upbeat. My condolences to Arlene and Jim and also to her children. May God bless you all! John Frazier

  5. Like my brother, John Frazier, who posted earlier, I too remember Julie from our grade school years at Immanuel Lutheran School. We were in a carpool with her and her brother Jim during all those years. I had chatted with her briefly on Facebook in 2015 after going through some old photos and finding her picture in an old Immanuel Lutheran School Yearbook. At the time I shared a memory with her about coming home from school with her and possible spending the night . During that chat, I told her "I was in awe of her bedroom windows because they were placed higher on the wall than most." I drove by that house many times over the years always remembered that evening spent with Julie. I am sorry to hear of her passing. Ruth Frazier Huckstadt
