Jeanne Ann Brown

Jeanne Ann Brown, 68, of Highland, IL passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL. A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 7:00 pm, at Assalley-Young funeral home. Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 pm. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery, at 11:00 am., Friday, October 15, 2021. Memorials are suggested to the family, in lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts.

 She had a fondness and soft spot for children, becoming a daycare teacher seemed to be the perfect fit. She loved her grandchildren; they were her world and would do absolutely anything for them. She was loving and kind to a fault. Two hobbies that she enjoyed and gave her pleasure were hunting antiques & going through antique stores and crafting and finding crafty things.

 Jeanne was born to Roy and Betty (Vaughn) Tischhauser on February 1, 1953, in Highland, IL. She was raised, south of Greenville, on the family farm and lived most of her adult life in Greenville. She married Floyd Allen Brown, on April 29, 1972, in Panama, IL.  She is survived by her son, Scott (Nicole) Brown, of Highland, IL; a granddaughter, Chelsey Potochney, of Pocahontas, IL; grandchildren, Rylee and Madisyn Brown, at home; and great grandchildren, Chloe, Haven, Hailey, and Mika; brothers, Tom and (Phyllis) Tischhauser, of Bloomington, IL, Ron (Carla) Tischhauser, of Greenville, IL, and Gary (Cindy) Tischhauser, of Greenville, IL.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Carrie Brown, and an infant sister.
