Jean Reelitz grew up in the Reno area and attended Reno schools. She graduated from Greenville High School. She married Gerhard E. "Gerry" Reelitz on October 3, 1940 in Mexico, MO. He died October 26, 1996. She and her husband lived briefly in Reno after marriage and then moved to Greenville. She was a past member of The Reno Bethel Presbyterian Church. She was a member of The Greenville Regional Hospital Auxiliary and was active at the Thrift Shop. She was also a past member of The Bond County Homemakers. She is survived by her children, Eric V. (Karen) Reelitz of Greenville, Anthony "Tony" Reelitz of Greenville, Daniel N. (Jan) Reelitz of Cedarville, MI, Angela (Mathew) Kapp of Greenville, and Mark Q. (Tricia) Reelitz of West Palm Beach, Fl, her brother Fred (Bessie) Baumberger of Greenville, twelve grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-mother, her husband, two brothers Keith and Edwin Baumberger, her sister Helen Paine, and two daughter's-in-law Bonnie Reelitz and Virginia Reelitz
