J. Fred Hilpert

J. Fred Hilpert, age 81, of Greenville passed away, Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Helia Healthcare of Greenville. A private family service will be held at Brown Cemetery. Fred was born June 16, 1934 in LaGrange, AR to Fred Howard and Marie L. (Warmack) Hilpert. He married Eva Maxine Haynes on March 6, 1953 in West Helena, AR. He is survived by his wife of Greenville, his children Kathy M. Hulskotter of Mulberry Grove, IL. Caren L. Hilpert of Greenville, and Fred C. Hilpert of Greenville, He is also survived by sibling Irene Pollmann of New Baden, IL, Betty Ray of McAlester, OK, and Bob B. Hilpert of Grover, North Carolina along with six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister McBroom. He grew up in Arkansas. He had served in the Arkansas National Guard. He had worked for Arkansas Power and Light. He moved to Eureka, IL and in 1961 he moved to Litchfield, IL. In 1971 he moved to Greenville. He worked for over 40 years as a lineman for Illinois Power. He was a member of IBEW International. Memorial contributions are suggested to The Disabled Veterans.
