Hollie M. Willmann, age 82 of rural Greenville passed away at Greenville Regional Hospital. Hollie Milton Willmann was born on January 4, 1932 near Highland, IL to Milton and Dolly (Ulmet) Willmann. He was the oldest of eight children, Roscoe, Rosemary, Thomas, Shirley, Denny, Paul, and Theodore. Hollie attended rural schools, graduating from Greenville High School in 1951. He served in the military during the Korean War and began work with Western Electric, retiring in 1985. Hollie farmed during most of his adult life retiring from farming in 1996. He then served on the Bond County Board for 10 years. He married Jeanette Vera Korte on May 18, 1955 and became parents to son, Mark (Missy) Willmann and daughters Karen (Steve) Smith and Jill (Walter) Lauchner. Jeanette passed away in 1991. He married Clarene Rose Seger on July 9, 1993. He is survived by his wife, his children and grandchildren, Kevin and Jessica Willmann, Keith Willmann, Kyle and Valerie Smith, Mallory Smith, Alyson Lauchner, Cameron Lauchner and Cale Lauchner; her children, Steve (Carol) Seger, Jeri (Dave) Riechman, Connie (Mike, deceased) Seger and their families and grand and great -grand children. Hollie was most known for his kind and compassionate helping and particular nature. He was the first one to step forward in times of need, whether he was offering moral and emotional support, or digging out driveways during snowstorms. He was happy to volunteer slicing apples, trimming trees on the court house lawn, and serving his church as Trustee for many years. He thoroughly enjoyed keeping his farm neat and orderly after retirement and growing pumpkins for his family and the KRP program kids. Memorial contributions are suggested to The Knighs of Columbus Scholarship Fund, The Simple Room, or to masses.

I so would have preferred attending the wake & funeral in person to offer my condolences. I'll always remember Hollie's great personality and his laugh and good caring nature.   6. Clarene, We are sorry we just learned of Hollie's death and didn't have the opportunity to attend the funeral. I enjoyed our little visits from time to time and regret not stopping in more often. He was a special man and brought smiles to many faces.
