Harold S. Collman

Harold S. Collman, age 94, of Greenville passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 11:55 pm at Faith Countryside Home in Highland. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 1 pm at The Young Funeral Home. Interment will be in Brown Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 4-7 pm. Masonic Service will be conducted at 6:30 pm, Tuesday. Harold was born February 8, 1920 in Old Ripley Township to Henry R. and Lily (Willifred) Collman. He married Eleanor Jane Landers on September 7, 1947 in Greenville, IL. He is survived by his sons: Michael (Lisa) Collman, Bloomfield Hills, MI; Timothy (Susan) Collman, Keyesport, IL; Kevin (Paula) Collman, Hemit, CA; Ronald (Sarah) Collman, Mahomet, IL; a sister Rose Siebert, Reno, IL; 15 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; an infant son, Stephen Collman; Brothers Charles, George, and Walter; Sisters Eva, Maude, and Violet. He grew up in the Old Ripley area. He worked at Southwest Electric Co-op for 35 years as a lineman/foreman. He served in the United States Military from 1942-1944. He was a member of the Tamalco Christian Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to Tamalco Christian Church, Masonic Lodge 560 AF & AM, or American Legion Post 282.
