Harold D. "Dick" Reavis, age 93, of Greenville, IL passed away at 8:20 AM on January 25, 2014 at his home. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 7 PM at the Greenville First Christian Church. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call Tuesday, January 28, 2014 after 4 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The First Christian Church or Bond County Hospice. He was born July 1, 1920 in Pleasant Mound to Harold Matthew and Blanche Elma (Dickson) Reavis. He married Arnita Jean Huff on September 11, 1944 in Greenville. She passed away on February 27, 2002. He is survived by his children Linda (David) Royer of Greenville, Rodney (Ardis) Reavis of Greenville, Susan Goodman of Greenville, Marcia Reavis of Springfield, IL, Randy (Peggy) Reavis of Omaha, NE, Rex Reavis of Greenville, Richard (Patty) Reavis of Pleasant Mound, Cynthia Reavis of Greenville, Shari (Steve) Forte of Smithboro, IL, and Mari (Mark) Robertson of Greenville, his sister Milburn Smith of Colorado Springs, CO, 14 grandchildren, Jenifer Royer, Rebecca Zumwalt, Rodney Reavis, Ryan Reavis, Michelle Goodman, Jordan Reavis, Jacob Reavis, Robert Reavis, Lucas Reavis, Sarah Reavis, Rustin Reavis, Lynn Hessenauer, Casey Robertson, and Ethan Robertson. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, two sisters Maxine Barth and Dolphaline Dothager, and a son-in-law Charles Goodman He grew up in Pleasant Mound and graduated from Greenville High School in 1939. He served in The Army Air Corp during WW II. After the military he returned to work at Pet Milk in Greenville and retired as chief engineer after 40 years. He was a member of The Greenville First Christian Church and the KVS Club.
