George Allen Oestreich, age 74, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Smith Grove Baptist Church. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, October 29, 2019 after 10 AM at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to Smith Grove Baptist Church or The Simple Room.

He is survived by his children Elizabeth C. Oestreich and Joseph (Emily) Oestreich. His siblings Milton (Anna) Oestreich of Greenville, IL, Virgina Knox of Mesa, AZ, and Roger Oestreich of Kansas City, MO. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Andre Kyrran Oestreich, Joseph Michael Oestreich II, Desmond Demond Rush, Micah Amber Rush, Kesha Chere Oestreich, Cierra Jordan Oestreich, Edmarius Oats, and Paris Oestreich along with his great grandchildren Xavier Miles Oestreich, Malachi Hanke, Malyk Hanke, and Kaiden Oestreich.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Judith Barry.

George was born May 21, 1945 in Loyal, Wisconsin to Albert W. and Clara Rosetta (Drake) Oestreich. He attended The University of Kentucky and served in the US Army from June 1966 to June 1969. He was a self employed insurance agent and broker.
