Gene R. Hawkins
July 3, 1940 ~ April 14, 2013
Gene R. Hawkins passed away at Greenville Regional Hospital at the age of 72. Gene is survived by his wife Sandra L. (Waters) Hawkins who he married on December 26, 1958 in Mulberry Grove, his son Steven James (Sherry) Hawkins, his daughter Nicole (Randy) Knox, his sister Kay Brooks, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He grew up in Marine, IL. and moved to Mulberry Grove with his family in the 1950's. He attended Pleasant View School and graduated from Mulberry Grove High School. He had worked in construction and then for 18 1/2 years at Greenville Regional Hospital retiring in August of 2008. He was a former member of the KVS Club and the Mulberry Grove JC's. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The Greenville First Christian Church or to the family
