Frances Elaine Johnston, age 74, of rural Greenville passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 26, 2018 at 11 AM at Young Funeral Home. Burial will be in McKendree Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Bond County Hospice.

She was born January 5, 1944 in Grayville, IL to Everett Franklin and Margaret (Carter) Parish. She married William Elmer Johnston on February 26, 1961 in Salem, IL. She is survived by her husband of rural Greenville, her sons William Wayne Johnston and his wife Monica of Romeoville, IL and Kevin Lee Johnston and his wife Elizabeth of Lockport, IL. She is also survived by her brother Mike Honicker and his wife Dawn of Centralia, IL, her sisters Marilyn Cash of Texas, and Sherry Mays of Sandoval, IL. along with eight grandchildren Justin (Ashley) Johnston, John Johnston, Samantha and Katherine Briggs, Kelli (Patrick) Hodina, Keith (Lorena) Johnston, Steven (Krystal) Johnston and Deann Wolzen along with fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Gayla Wolzen, and two sisters Janet Barker and Carolyn Goodiel.

She grew up in Central City, IL and graduated from Centralia High School. She and her husband live for a couple of years in Ottawa, IL and then in Romeoville, IL for about 30 years. They moved to rural Greenville in January of 1996.
