Earl D. Hill, age 82, of Mulberry Grove, IL passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 4, 2016 at 11 AM from The Mulberry Grove Church of Christ. Burial will be in Maxey Cemetery with military honors by Mulberry Grove American Legion Post #1180. Friends may call Sunday, January 3, 2016 from 4-7 at the church and also on Monday, January 4, from 10 AM until service time. Memorial contributions are suggested to The Mulberry Grove Church of Christ or Mulberry Grove American Legion Post #1180. Earl was born in Raymondville, MO on January 19, 1933 to Roy O. and Erma (Van Deusen) Hill. He married Mary Dugan on July 21, 1960 in Mulberry Grove, IL. She died January 3, 2001. Earl is survived by his son Ed Hill and his wife Annette of Mulberry Grove, IL. his daughter-in-law Jennifer Lappe of Greenville, IL., and his special friend Leola Judge formerly of Mulberry Grove, IL. He is also survived by seven sisters Evelyn Painter of Hannibal, MO, Barbara June Elliott of Reno, TX, Beatrice Davison and her husband Ron of Mulberry Grove, IL., Carol Henna and her husband Larry of Brownstown, IL., Judy Tompkins and her husband Dick of Highland, IL, Sharon Campbell and her husband Jerry of Salem, IL. and Pat Blankenship and her husband Lester of Greenville, IL. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, a son Andy Hill, and a brother Ray Hill. Earl grew up in Raymondville, MO. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on May 19, 1955 and was discharged on April 1, 1957. After serving in the Army he moved with his family to Mulberry Grove. He moved back to Missouri for a couple of years and then returned to Mulberry Grove for the rest of his life. He worked as a plumber and pipefitter out of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 653 in Centralia until he retired. He was a member of the Mulberry Grove Church of Christ.
