Dessie F. Snow, age 94, of Greenville passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 11:15 PM at Helia Healthcare. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 1 PM at the The Woburn Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday after 11 AM at the church. Dessie was born on March 16, 1920 in rural Greenville to Thomas and Ella (Grigg) Stewart. She was married twice, first to John E. Terry who died December 17, 1969. She then married Murl Snow on July 9, 1973 in Woburn, IL. He survives. She is survived by her husband Murl Snow of Greenville, IL and his children, her son Gary (Pat) Terry of Greenville, IL, her step-daughters Dee Tevis of Smithboro, IL, and Doris Marcks of Janesville, WI. She is also survived numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband John Terry, a daughter Sandra Simmonds, a son Bradley Terry in infancy, five sisters Opal Criner, Hazel Henry, Pansy Terry, Mae Pacatte, and Velera Stewart, and two brothers Floyd Stewart and Owen Stewart. Dessie grew up north of Greenville. After her first husband's death she went to work as a cook at Smithboro and Mulberry Grove schools. She was a member of The Woburn Baptist Church Memorial contributions are suggested to the Woburn Baptist Church.
