Arthur A. Alexander, age 53, of Greenville passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 at his home. All services for him will be private. He was born June 13, 1960 in Highland, IL to Byrl and Kathleen (Wise) Alexander. He is survived by his companion Michelle Hallett and her daughers Alexandria and Brianna, his brother Jeff Alexander of Liberty, MO, his sisters Mary (Don) Albert of Greenville, IL, Cindy (Dick) Brown of Donnellson, IL, Jody Barker of Kansas City, MO, Kris Weber (Pete Gackstatter) of Alton, IL. He grew up in Greenville and attended Central School and Greenville High School. He had worked at Star Service Station in Greenville and then for Arrow Group Industries in Breese, IL for 20 years where he was union steward. He was a member of the United Steel Workers. He had served as a volunteer fireman and was an avid fisherman. Memorial contributions are suggested to Siteman Cancer Center or Bond County Hospice.

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Art Alexander, we have been keeping in touch through social media, and remembering growing up next to each other, when I visited my Grandma Babe and Grandpa Enloe's house on Spring Street. Spent a lot of times playing catch and sledding by the cemetery on the hill! RIP Art, sadly missed by all those who knew him!
