Arlene Kopatz, age 86, of Greenville, IL, formerly of Springfield, IL passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, IL. Memorial services will be held Monday, October 9, 2017 at 11 AM at Young Funeral Home. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice
Arlene was born August 13, 1931 in Bunker Hill, IL to John and Julie (Marts) Mansholt. She married Fred Kopatz on July 22, 1951 in Bunker Hill, IL. He died March 1, 2006. She is survived by her son Jim Kopatz and his wife Betsy of Mt. Horeb, WI, her brother Raymond Mansholt of Litchfield, IL, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter Julie Robison, her brother Lewis Mansholt, and a her sister Verna Bruene.
Arlene lived most of her life in Springfield where she worked for the State of Illinois Department of Conservation. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Springfield.

Jim and family, So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I have a lot of fond memories of her shuttling my sister and I to Immanuel grade school.
